What is REI?

REI, short for ‘Real Estate Intelligence, is not just an application; it’s a revolution.

REI marks the first fundamental change to local authority data handling in decades. Imagine a tool that not only reads and summarises the results of Local Authority searches but it also provides you with an extract of the data in a standardised format.

Since the 1990s, local authority data has been confined to flat PDFs, requiring manual, page-by-page reading. REI transforms this process by providing digital extracts and automated analysis of CON 29 forms. This is especially impactful for multiple property purchases, allowing for quick comparisons, improved accuracy, and significant time savings.

With around 340 local authorities, each sending results in different formats, lawyers have faced the daunting task of interpreting each one uniquely. REI not only automates these results but also standardises the format, regardless of the source.

How legal professionals interact with crucial property data is evolving at pace and has changed once more, thanks to REI.

Why Now?

We recognise that efficiently processing extensive property portfolios and complex deals is essential for the growth of the Commercial Real Estate and Social Housing markets, both of which are currently prioritised by the Government. REI thrives on handling higher volumes, making it invaluable for transactions involving multiple properties. As the social housing market grows increasingly price-competitive, securing that work requires an exceptional edge.

REI delivers consistent data formats for hundreds of properties in a single spreadsheet, facilitating easy comparison and analysis. But how does it achieve this? The secret behind REI is our meticulous AI training. With vast variations in data sets, there are no shortcuts. Achieving this level of accuracy has taken years of dedication and the collaboration of countless experts. This dedication is our pride, and it’s why we confidently offer customer guarantees and insurance.

The Evolution of REI

A Journey 20 Years in the Making

REI’s creation is the result of over two decades of vision, innovation, and a relentless commitment to solving one of the industry’s most persistent challenges. The story began more than 20 years ago with an ambitious goal: to standardise the varying formats of the CON29 forms used by local authorities. At the time (and still applicable now), every local authority could choose its own format for presenting this data, creating a fragmented system that posed significant challenges for anyone working with it. With over 340 local authorities each using their own format, this was no small dream, but it was an idea that could transform the industry….
